It's a 'Burgh thing

Upper St. Clair's Dylan Reese has become the 13th native son to crack an NHL lineup.

Reese joined the New York Islanders on March 1 in a trade with Columbus, and dressed for the Isles tonight (March 4th). Check out the growing list of other locals in the NHL.

What's really cool, is the fact that Reese could potentially play in the Mellon Arena's regular season finale when the Islanders visit on April 8th.

Sid Thwarts Sports Illustrated Jinx

Sidney Crosby was the cover photo of Sports Illustrated in Canada the week before the Olympics, but his overtime heroics of the gold medal game against the US earned him the March 8th cover everywhere in North America.
